The Sporting Globe - Staircase renovation

Overview

This project formed part of fit‑out and upgrade works at The Sporting Globe on the Gold Coast, focusing on the renovation of an internal commercial staircase to improve safety, durability, and visual impact within a busy bar and entertainment environment.

The staircase was upgraded to suit the demands of a high‑traffic hospitality venue, with finishes and detailing selected to align with the venue’s contemporary aesthetic while withstanding heavy daily use. Works included the refurbishment of stair components, handrails, and balustrade elements to create a clean, modern appearance that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding interior.

All fabrication, and installation works were completed in full compliance with relevant Australian Standards , including requirements for stairs, handrail height, slip resistance, and safety barriers. This ensured the staircase met current Queensland building and accessibility expectations for commercial hospitality spaces.

The project was delivered with careful consideration of venue operations, allowing works to be undertaken efficiently within an active retail and entertainment precinct. The completed staircase now provides a safe, compliant, and visually striking access feature, supporting the ongoing operation of one of the Gold Coast’s leading sports bars.
