Tailored Stainless Steel Solutions

Discover how Australian Steel Projects delivers seamless steel solutions through a streamlined process that ensures superior results, from concept to completion.

Overview

Australian Steel Projects was approached by the University of Queensland’s School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability to develop a custom-built Food Processing Chamber as part of an advanced research initiative. The client had struggled to find a local manufacturer willing to take on the complexity of the design, and was initially considering overseas production. The client ultimately partnered with Australian Steel Projects due to our commitment to understanding his needs and delivering a tailored solution.

The chamber, fabricated from 316 stainless steel, replicates the original glass design while significantly improving durability and thermal performance. It features multiple inner cylinders within a jacketed outer shell, designed to insulate heat effectively. Additional precision-engineered components facilitated the controlled distribution of product throughout the processing system.

Due to the intricate nature of the chamber, our Specialist Fabricator employed advanced shaping techniques, precise heat and weld control, and purging methods to ensure the integrity and functionality of the final product. The result is a one-of-a-kind device in Australia, offering superior insulation and minimal energy loss during operation.
